	Illini's 2008-2009 schedule released

March 20, 2008 - The Illini announced their 2008-2009 season schedule with only one open date left at this time. The Illini will kick off the season with two home weekends against a pair of Michigan teams, the first being BigTen rival Michigan State, followed by the Grizzlies of Oakland University. The Illini will then hit the road to start off CSCHL league play as they head to Kent State to face the Golden Flashes. The Illini return home for another BigTen match as the Buckeyes of Ohio State roll onto the Big Pond for the first meeting between these two teams in several years. The longest road trip of the season will follow as the Illini head to Edmond, Oklahoma to try and saddle the Bronchos of Central Oklahoma. The remainder of the semester will have the Illini trying to build up league points as Robert Morris, Michigan-Dearborn, and Eastern Michigan all come to Champaign. After the break it's back on the road for a weekend in Western Michigan with the Stallions, followed by a weekend in Happy Valley as the Illini take on Penn-State. With the exception of a road trip to Ohio University, the rest of the season will be at the Big Pond before heading to Dearborn, Michigan for the league playoffs. The Illini will once again host the CSCHL All-Star game, before the hopeful trip to Ohio and a repeat performance at the ACHA National Tournament in March.
