Illini continue to hold onto top spot
   
ACHA Ranking #5 released
   
November 30, 2007 - The University of Illinois received 45 of a possible 48 first-place votes and continued to hold the top spot in the fiffth ranking of the regular season.  Coming off a 2-week hiatus, the Fighting Illini jump back into action against #17 Western Michigan this weekend.  Penn State received the other 3 first-place votes and held at #2.  Lindenwood jumped up to the #3 spot, while Rhode Island fell to #4 and Oklahoma, Delaware, Ohio, and Liberty held ground at #5-8 respectively.  The rankings highest movers were Kent State, which jumped up four spots to the #9 position and Western Michigan, which jumped up three spots to the #17 position.  Adrian College, led by Head Coach Mike Buchan, appear in the rankings for the first time in its brief history, coming in at #24. The sixth ranking of the regular season will be released on Friday, December 14.
